Rottweiler's head length is middle, cranium is wide between ears, forehead line is moderately convex, inion is well-developed. Muzzle shall seem neither longer, nor shorter than the cranial part. Nose lap is black, wide, with comparatively wide base. Lips are black, adherent, jaws are dark. Jugal bridges are distinct.

Teeth are firm, full dental formula (42 teeth), bite is scissors-like. Eyes are middle-sized, almond-like, dark brown.






Ears of middle size, hanging, triangle, wide and high set. Neck of middle length, well-muscled, arched a bit in it's top part. Back is straight, strong, firm. Loin is short, wide and strong. Croup is wide, middle length, rounded a bit. Rib cage is wide and deep, chest-bone is well-developed. Belly is tucked up to the inguen. Tail is cut at first-second neck-bone. ADRK standard doesn't allow tail cut; British and Australian standard allows both caudal and acaudate dogs; and American standard requires tail being cut.

Forefeet are straight. Shoulders continue the body line. Pastern is flexible, strong, and inclined. Forepaws are rounded, firm, tucked, fingers are bent, pads are firm, nails are black. Hind feet are straight. Hind paws are little bit longer than fore ones.

Hair includes top cover and undercoat. Top cover is middle length, harsh, firm, plain. Undercoat is invisible. Legs have longer hair. Color is black, with red-brown burnings located under eyes, on cheeks, muzzle, neck, chest, limbs, and under tail.
